Just a Quick thought
We have 14 Winter Meeting proposals on the board. Could we maybe cool out a little. I know it’s in the best interest of the league but some of these proposals seem like change for the sake of change. And for the most part the same people are participating in the discussions. Do we need 14 rule changes this year? Was 2009 so bad?
I think in past years we had over 20 … some get combined, some dropped, keep it flowin’ …
We haven’t even heard from 101 yet. I’m sure PQ has dozens of proposals.

This is our new forum. Winter Meetings are for voting what is proposed here. Every WM to date has been a total nightmare. We propose rule changes here, talk about them, then vote at the WM.
As far a 101 goes. I hope his doing his homework by reading this blog, because we’re not wasting everyone time at the WM by going over each of them.
I’m sure he doesn’t care and i’ve heard a hundred times from Pete that “i don’t care to talk or read about the rules” or “rules are so gay”.

I think Rich’s “cool out” is referring to 14 proposals in the last 7 days. Maybe he is thinking we should post a proposal then discuss it thoroughly for a day or two. You know, give the proposer time to fully explain their proposal, respond to questions, like what if this, that and the other thing happens? Once we’ve sufficiently grilled the proposer, then, post another proposal, rinse, repeat and so on and so forth.
I think most, if not all, agree that this blog will save us a ton of time and aggreviation while allowing us ample time to actually discuss potential loopholes and solutions to perfect the rules that have been passed during our meeting.
Next offseason I’d like to see one WMP posted per week starting 10/01/2010 thru the winter meeting “DD/MM/YYYY” to be determined. That should be plenty of time for us to disect, rip apart and mold each proposal for WM ’11. Just a thought.
Also, Mike, there won’t be a three peat for you in ’10. Sorry.

I know it’s the new forum I was the one who asked if we can post on the blog. I know the winter meetings are usually a nightmare and I am all for this new forum. But the way this is going it’s going be the same type of nightmare. Like Andy give it day or two, let owners absorb the proposal and ask some questions.
In all seriousness, does 101 know this forum exists? Every other owner has at least commented once somewhere along the line. 101 could be the swing vote on a few proposals.
He knows about it.
…and he chooses to ignore it.
Par for the course, did anyone expect something different? If 7 guys understand them, we’re way ahead of the curve. In cases where there’s a 4-3 vote and 101 is needed, he can add a Y/N vote based on his five second interpretation.
