Winter Meetings Proposal #8 Reserving Players after Deadline Based on New Information.

Reserving a Player who may be placed on the DL or sent to minors prior to the start of the Game. One of the more controversial items that come up during the year.  Example:  Wednesday at 6:30PM we learn Laporta was sent down to AAA.  This is past the 2:00 PM deadline so WTNY wasn’t [...]

Winter Meeting Proposal #7

Should We Change the Current Tie-Break Rule? I’m not proposing a change, as I think the current rules are adequate, but I think it is worth the discussion and review. If someone has a good idea for a new system, here is the place to lay it out. Currently, in the event of a year [...]

The Rule that we have to # our New Rule Proposals

Let’s make it easy to keep track of and reference these suckers.  No #, No vote.

The Jair Jurrgens Rule #6

Should we re-evaluate decisions made by the league/commish that involved the rewarding of a player due to a multi-player deal.  For example, the league voted to award to 101 the player in the Jair Jurrgens/Gorkys Hernandez trade.  In hindsight, it’s VERY obvious that we made the wrong decision.  I believe in cases of black and [...]

Josh Fields Rule #5

- Should commish notify all teams when a player is available because he wasn’t activated within the two weeks required.

Winter Meeting Proposal #4

Add a 10th pitcher.  I feel like we already added an additional hitter when we voted to create the c/dh spot so now I think it’s time to add another pitcher.

Winter Meeting Proposal #3

DL players heading into the draft are allowed to be reserved. This one is plain and simple, should we change the current rule that mandates DL players occupy a spot on your active roster heading into the draft?

Sept. Injuries

Just wanted to throw this out there. I am sure every owner has issues with the September injury/reserve rule. I am wondering how owners would feel if each team has 1 injured reserve spot for September. I’m just throwing this out there. Thoughts?

Winter Meeting Proposal #2

SEPTEMBER WAIVER/TRADE PROPOSAL For the final month of the season (the periods following our trading deadline), I propose changing the way in which our waiver process functions.  The proposed process would work as follows. 1) Any player nuked by a team would go through waivers (as is the current rule). 2) Teams would have priority [...]

Winter Meeting Proposal #1 Farm Eligibility

Here we go. I want to address the problem many owners will have come draft day. With 20 minor leaguers on each roster, teams are going to run into problems if a farm guy, say Michael Saunders, makes the opening day roster. Under the current rules, i have to keep Saunders on the 23 man [...]
