Winter Meetings Dining

Since we have a 10AM Start on Saturday, I was thinking about doing a breakfast spread to get things going. Prior to buying eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast, etc. I want to see if you guys are on board for this.

Thoughts?

I’m on board!!! Let me know if you need anything. I can pick up something on the way down…maybe a nice bundt cake…

I do have one concern and that is with the liquors stores not being open by the time I get to Water Street. It’s caused a few sleepless nights but I think I’ll be able to deal. If we have to we can take a 1230 intermission from the meetings for a quick packy run.

Sounds like a lot of work, and I know Sarah is just perfecting boiling water, would it be better for me to pickup bagel, spreads and coffee from Gunther Tooties?

  3. JM says:

Good idea Commish. I’ll talk the wife into baking a banana bread or some similar breakfast treat.

Does this mean no Capone’s pizza?

  4. Evil Empire says:

AA, Couldn’t you just buy some beer Friday?

  5. Evil Empire says:

BTW, I like my eggs dry, but not burnt, and I like my bacon crispy.
    Thanks

Will you be in full line-cook attire; crocs and skidz pants?

  7. Richie says:

I’m still bring beer, no way I get through the meeting without a few drinks.

EE. Why don’t you pick up some of that stuff as well. Some of us are watching our weight. I was thinking scrambled eggs, bacon, and home fries. We’ll do a mix of both.

JM. I figured Capone’s could come into play in the afternoon if needed.

I’ll try to remember to pick up some beers to hold us over for a little while.

  9. JM says:

Al Fresco Sweet Apple Chicken Sausage found at most supermarkets is an excellent addition to any breakfast.

“Some of us are watching our weight.”

Ever hear of the “power bagel”? Whole wheat, walnuts and raisins. Load that up with some almond butter, and you got yourself a healthy breakfast ready to rebut any of Chris’ ridiculous opinions!

I guess I could get beers the night before but I like picking some up on the way to the meetings. It’s a tradition.

Sounds like a great idea, let me know what you need.

  14. JM says:

Who’s surprised that it took a post about food to bring PQ out of hiding?

    Extra bacon please.

Looking forward to tomorrow, it’s been at least 12 months since I last saw EE snuggling up to the commish. Add Si7 into the equation and we may have a full on WM orgy at 22 Water St.
