Proposal #3: Players on 60 Day DL

Players on a a teams 60 Day DL would not be required to be on your active roster for the draft.  Salaries would count as normal, but players would be allowed to be on a reserve list prior to the draft.  For every player on the 60 Day DL that a team moves to their reserve list, that team would forfeit one farm player draft slot, so as to prevent player hoarding and keep all teams at the same number of players.  For example, if team X were to move two players who are on the 60 Day DL to their reserve list, then team X would have 18 farm slots to fill for that draft.

I think I like it, although I’d also be in favor of allowing 15-day DL guys to start year on Reserved List. I’m all about flexibility. 20 farm slots, 24 active players…and no bench. So yes, I’m in favor of opening up the rules on the reserved list.

On draft day, if a team selects a player on the 60-Day DL, would you suggest that player goes direct to reserve list?

I would think on draft day, if a guy is drafted on the 60-Day DL, he would go into your active roster, and then be able to be reserved in the Spice Draft.

Is this the same reserve list discussion we had last year? It sounds familiar and could work.
