Proposal #6 25 Man Roster

MLB teams have the choice between how many pitchers or position players they want on their MLB active roster. For instance, there may be times when the Rays carry 11 pitchers and the Sox carry 10, totally a strategy for what suites their needs at the time.

I propose we move to a 25 man roster adding a position for U/P. GM preference on whether to carry a 2nd U spot or a 11th P.

Astros are coming, we have 20 man minor leagues and I doubt we will have SOT expansion. No better time than now to move to a 25 man roster!

Id like to put to a vote for an expansion team to begin in 2011. 2011 gives us time to work out details on expansion draft (majors and minors) and who exactly would be worthy of the team. I think 9 teams would be beneficial to the league. On a side note, if DMB wins again I think he should sell his team and take ownership of the expansion team..

Cunningham vs. Haiston

Not sure what the commish ruling will be on this but I hope it goes to vote and here is why. Combined we own 80 minor league guys, Hairston was traded to the AL for not one of them thus becoming a FA in SOT. Cunninham came over in the Harden deal. Cunningham has always been a top prospect in the Oak system. With the acquisition of CoCo, Hairston was relegated to 4th OF. Last season Hairston was dealt to Oak for a bag of balls, not sure how he would be key peice coming back to SD. Just my two cents.. I’m TUSA and I approve this message.
